Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) stands as a beacon of hope and health for millions across India, including those at the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS) in Saifai. This transformative healthcare initiative, launched in September 2018, aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to the most vulnerable sections of society. At UPUMS Saifai, AB-PMJAY serves as a cornerstone in the mission to deliver quality healthcare services to every citizen, regardless of their socio-economic status.

The implementation of AB-PMJAY at UPUMS Saifai has ushered in a new era of healthcare accessibility. The AB-PMJAY cell comprises of Dr. S.P Singh (Medical Superintendent), Dr Rajesh Yadav (Patient welfare Cell), Dr. Gagan Deep Kaur (Nodal Officer), Mr. Amit Singh (Yojana Co-ordinator), Mr Prasoon Dixit , Mr Ravi and Mr Bhanu Pratap Singh (Medical Social workers),Mrs Neelam , Mr Gaurav and Mr Ajay (AB Mitra). The team is devoted to facilitate medical services to all cadres of the society.

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive health coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year, ensuring they can access a wide range of medical services, including hospitalization, surgery, and critical treatments, without facing financial hardship. This coverage extends to various ailments, from common illnesses to catastrophic medical conditions, offering relief and reassurance to families burdened by healthcare expenses.

Moreover, AB-PMJAY promotes the ethos of patient-centered care by prioritizing the needs and dignity of every individual. At UPUMS Saifai, this translates into personalized medical attention, compassionate treatment, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. Through a network of empaneled hospitals and healthcare providers, beneficiaries can access quality medical services closer to home, reducing the barriers of distance and cost.

In essence, AB-PMJAY at UPUMS Saifai exemplifies the government's dedication to ensuring health for all. By bridging the gap between healthcare and those in need, this initiative not only saves lives but also fosters a healthier, more equitable society, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
