AIIMS Patna:

  • Establishment of an innovative “Aaviskhar Club”
    To nurture the ideas of doctors and students which can bring a change in current health care of patients and education of medical students. The club contains a group of experienced mentors. These belong to different disciplines including Doctors, Researchers, Entrepreneurs, Administrators & Scientists.
  • PDCC Courses
    Started at AIIMS Patna on the same basis as at SGPGIMS.

  • PDCC Courses
    First time in the Country deviced the “One Year duration course entitled PostDoctoral Certificate Course” for the training in the sub-specialties after Post-graduation.“ An effort to increase the pool of specialist in the sub-specialties”. Department of Anesthesia runs 04 such sub-specialties courses perhaps the largest number of courses in the Country.

Contribution in the field of Hospital Services :

At AIIMS, Patna:

  • H.I.S. (Hospital Information System)
    With the help of CDAC, HIS has been introduced to make AIIMS Patna a hassle free, paperless hospital. Patient gets a life time registration number and an OPD booklet for consultation in all departments without any re-entry in counters. Billing, discharge, investigation request and reporting all are being done on HIS. Patient case records is stored on HIS, which may be seen for research and audit purposes.
  • H.S.S. (Hospital Supply System)
    At AIIMS Patna, Hospital Supply System (HSS) has been started successfully where all items needed for patient care like implants, consumables, drugs and disposables are purchased from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) at very low cost.

At SGPGIMS:

  • H.R.F. (Hospital Revolving Fund)
    Devised the supply chain system of drugs, consumables and other miscellaneous items needed for patient care. A system which is self-sustainable and economically viable. An unique experiment in the country.
  • I.R.F. (Investigation Revolving Fund)
    On a similar pattern of HRF, the IRF was designed to ensure the investigation services on self- sustainable model.

Contribution in the field of Community Outreach Services:

At AIIMS Patna:

  • Sharwan Kumar Yojna (SKY Course)
    has been started to give education about how to give care for the elderly people of our society. 10 trained “Sharwan Kumar” has been already adopted by the community people for Geriatric Care.
  • Several medical and surgical camps, Telemedicine centers and first aid & CPR training has been organized and provided health services to a wide range of population of Bihar.
